A festival with a series of events was planned by the Live Kingsize Die Kingsize Foundation for the National Organ Donation Day on 27 November, 2020.
The first event planned as part of the Festival for the National Organ Donation Day was a pan-India Round Table and pan-India Ladies Circle event, an initiative of the Hyderabad Ladies Circle. The event was very well-received with plans of further events in the near future.
The second event planned as part of the Festival for the National Organ Donation Day was a session organised by the Calcutta Marwari Mahila Samity which got a very enthusiastic response with their National and State President also joining. Members joined from Bihar, Orissa and Delhi and pledged joyously. It was heartening to have their wonderful feedback. The event ended with excited plans to have further awareness events.
The third event planned as part of the Festival for the National Organ Donation Day was an initiative of the Live Kingsize Die Kingsize (LKDK) Foundation in association with the leading Hindi newspaper of eastern India, Sanmarg Daily. Senior doctors doing pioneering work in the field of organ transplant and who are also members of this foundation, Dr. Vatsala Trivedi and Dr Indrajeet Tiwary, joined from Mumbai and Kolkata respectively in conversation with the founder of the LKDK foundation, Shruti Mohta, to address common concerns in the minds of the public. The event got nearly 3000 views on the Sanmarg Facebook page and was also given extensive coverage by Sanmarg in the traditional print media as well.
The fourth event planned as part of the Festival for the National Organ Donation Day was an interesting discussion with the Chairman for the students of the ILEAD College and employees of the PS Group. A pledgor himself, the Chairman feels strongly for the cause and had also organised an awareness event in the college on Independence Day previously.
