Awareness Event With Young Indians, Yi, Part Of CII
A press conference held by the Gift an Organ team of the Kolkata Chapter of Young Indians, Yi, which is part of the Confederation of Indian Industry, CII, in association with Shruti Mohta and the Bengal Organ Donation Society saw a very enthusiastic response with more than a 100 pledges in a single day.
The panelists included Ms Neeloo Sherpa, Jt. Commissioner of Police; Dr TK Ghosh, Special Secretary, Dept of Health and Family Welfare;
Dr Pratim Sengupta, Consultant Transplant Physician and Chief Nephrologist, Belle Vue Clinic;
Mr Sandeep Vyas, renowned singer;
Mr Rajat Sarawgi, Chair, Kolkata Chapter; Mr Ravi Todi, Managing Director of the Shrachi Group and Shruti Mohta, organ donation activist.
Each of the panelists was either already a previous pledgor, or pledged at the event.
The press conference was followed by a standup comedy at the Kala Mandir auditorium where a video of a touching poem on organ donation recited by Shruti Mohta was played to a packed audience of 1200 people.
