Nearly 200 people turned up for the walkathon for organ donation on World Kidney Day, 14th March 2019, including many doctors, social activists, students, and the Dean of Bhowanipore College, Mr. Dilip Shah, Dr. Pratim Sengupta, Dr. Indrajeet Tiwary, PR expert Mrs. Rita Bhimani,
social activist Mr. Yasser Haidar, Chief Editor of Sanmarg Mrs. Ruchika Gupta, fashion designer and influencer Lopamudra Mandal. Radio 91.9 Friends FM and Sanmarg daily were the media partners for the event and it was also covered on a few television channels.
The 40-minute walk from Belle Vue to the Victoria Memorial saw an enthusiastic response with many people signing to pledge for organ donation.
